About This Page

This page is about Kevin and I!  We've been together for almost 3 years now so of course I had to include a page dedicated to our relationship!!!

How We Met

Kevin and I met in December of 2002.  My best friend Aimee and I had gone to see a performance by a group from FCS.  Afterwards we went to Cracker Barrel to eat.  I had heard about Kevin through my brother, Abram, but I hadn't ever seen him.  Abram and Kevin worked at Cracker Barrel together as servers.  Aimee and I were sitting at our table when Kevin walks up and says, "Can I light your fire?".  I took one look at him and thought, "You can light my fire anytime!!!"  Of course I didn't say that to him but it was exactly what I was thinking!

Our Relationship

We have been together for almost 3 years now.  I am so in love with Kevin.  We have had many ups and downs.  A lot of these ups and downs definitely tried and tested us.  We kept saying that if we could get through one we could get through them all.  We were both right.  Kevin means the world to me and I can't imagine my life without him in it!  We have so many memories of dating, birthdays, holidays, vacations, and family events.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life!

Our First Date

Our first date was April 5th, 2003.  I hadn't seen him much since December but I had given my brother a note to pass on to Kevin.  The note said for Kevin to call me!  He finally did and we decided to go out on a date!  He picked me up at my house and we went to Opry Mills to see a movie!  I was extremely nervous!  We saw Bringin Down The House although I have no idea what the movie is about!  No, we weren't making out or anything but Kevin was running his fingers up and down my arm while we were holding hands and it was driving me wild!  My heart was beating a million miles an hour!  After the movie we went to Percy Priest Lake and just sat in his car and talked.  We found out that night that we had a lot in common.  He took me home and we hugged.  We didn't kiss that night.  The one thing that stands out from that night was when I went inside I called him and said that I could see myself with him for a long time!  From that night on I was head over heels for him.

The Future

Kevin and I are planning on spending the rest of our lives together!  We're bothing hoping to get married as soon as one of us graduates from college.  We might wait until we both graduate but it depends on financial stability and other issues like that.  I can't wait to marry Kevin and start a family with him!  He wants to have a boy and I want a girl!

When We Became A Couple

After our first date in April I didn't see much of Kevin.  He was working a lot at Cracker Barrel on the weekends and also going to Tennessee Tech in Cookeville.  I was a senior at FCS and was also busy with work.  So our relationship was kind of at a stand still until the summer.  The next time that I saw him was at Laser Quest.  My brother and two of his friends had invited me to go with them and my brother had also invited Kevin.  I was upset with Kevin because we hadn't talked much since our first date and I thought that he didn't like me.  After we played Laser Quest we walked around downtown.  Kevin tried to talk to me but we never got to talk alone so we didn't work much out that night.  That night I talked to my brother and told him that I didn't understand what was going on with Kevin and I.  Abram told me that the reason Kevin was acting that way was because he didn't know if I still wanted to try to build a relationship with him.  I then text messaged Kevin and told him that I would love to go out with him again sometime.  After he got the text message everything started.

At that point in my life I was 18 and was planning on leaving for the air force on August 11th.  Kevin was extremely hesitant to ask me to be his girlfriend because I would be gone so soon.  I had known Kevin since December and honestly I was already in love with him.  I told him that I couldn't stand to lose any sort of relationship with him and I got out of the air force.  On June 19, 2003 we went out to Cedars of Lebanon and were playing on the swings.  He got up and walked over to me and stood me up and said, "How would you like to be with a guy like me?"  He didn't exactly hear an answer because I tackled him!  I was so happy that day!  That day was the day that I decided that I wanted to possibly be with him for the rest of my life.
